Studio
Bas’ studio sits quietly on the island of Texel, shaped by the rhythm of the tides and the hands that craft each piece. Visitors are always welcome to step inside, feel the clay, and witness the process. For those further away, our ceramics can journey across the world, bringing a touch of Texel to your home.
Process
Every piece begins with raw clay, shaped carefully by hand or on the wheel. Through skillful craftsmanship, simple forms take shape—cups, mugs, and vases designed for daily use. Once dried, they are fired at high temperatures, transforming the clay into durable ceramic. Glazes are applied, adding color, texture, and character before a final firing seals their unique finish. The result is a thoughtfully made piece, combining function and beauty, ready to be part of your everyday moments.
